Our Story

Connections Music Therapy (CMT) is located in London, ON and services a wide range of Southwestern Ontario, including London, Middlesex County, Oxford County, Elgin County, Brant county, and Perth County.

Owned and operated by Jess Dickie, CMT specializes in providing services to those with varying needs (developmental, physical, mental) and geriatric care, with a focus on mental wellness.

    Jess Dickie

    Owner and Lead Certified Music Therapist

    Jess Dickie (they/them) is the Owner and Lead Music Therapist of Connections Music Therapy. With a passion for helping others through music and the ability to connect with individuals of all ages and needs, Jess has developed a reputation for providing fun, individualized sessions for all. 

  • Jillian Chesney

    Certified Music Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

    Jillian (she/her) recently completed her Master of Music Therapy from Wilfred Laurier University in 2024 after completing her Honours B.Sc degree in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour with a  Music Cognition Specialization from McMaster University in 2020.

  • Amy Spence

    Certified Music Therapist

    Amy (she/her) completed an Honours Bachelor of Music Therapy with a minor in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2023. While at Wilfrid Laurier, Amy studied classical voice and volunteered at the Waterloo Community Music School, providing adapted music lessons.

  • Kylie Thompson

    Certified Music Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

    Kylie (she/her) is a Board Certified Music Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Western University and Master’s Degree in Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. 

  • Skylar Shelley

    Music Psychotherapist (Certification in Progress)

    Skylar (they/them) is a music psychotherapist (certification/registration in process), community-minded facilitator, and multi-instrumentalist dedicated to creating inclusive, accessible spaces through the power of music. With professional experience spanning clinical work, performance, event coordination, and audio production, Skylar brings a unique blend of artistry, technical skill, and social advocacy to their work.

    Tiffany (she/her) joins the CMT team with a wealth of knowledge and experience in management, system operations, continuous improvement strategies, administrative processes, and leadership.
